The ATTA released a Europe cycling tourism analysis, with much interesting data. Europe's cycle tourism is about a decade ahead of North America's, so this could be considered some early warning as to what is coming down the cycle tourism trail. In particular, the DIY facilitated trips are not offered in Canada, but are of most interest in Europe. Obvious opportunity.
Identifying regional routes and making DIY trip planning easy (and free?) is likely the key to bringing the European cyclist here, especially if accommodations and food options, sightseeing stops, and logistics support can be highlighted.
